Do a search for the model tat has caught your fancy and find a dealer in your vicinity that has that model in stock. You will have to base your purchase on your budget, so you may have to get something a few years older than you had planned, but it's important to keep in mind that this car will last you many years longer than what you have been driving provided you take care of it.

This means proper maintenance, especially routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotation, tune-ups, and whatever else is required. Unlike American cars, the maintenance and repairs on an import, especially a luxury import, are much higher, but on the other hand, less repair work is required. It is also advisable because of the intricacy of some of the parts, to have your luxury import serviced at a BMW dealership or authorized BMW service center.
